ate my way through jazz fest today

started off with crawfish monica which i have decided i will have to make myself cause the $5 portions are just not enough and i feel a little ripped off
then on to the spinach artichoke stuff which is better this year, last year it sucked
got a little sleepy in the gospel tent waiting for lady tambourine so i went off and got an iced coffee
saw a half second of lady tambourine since she was late for her show then off to congo square. it was pretty hot by now and i guess i was full so i laid off the food for a bit and watched the amazone drummers. tooled around with my husband, laid in the shade a few places, saw folks we know, chatted...then i was hungry again so we hit the cochon de lait, i got in line for a softshell crawfish po-boy but it was moving too slowly for me so i jumped over for the pork, OMG YUM! then right after we hit the white chocolate bread pudding and i called it a day for food. we saw/heard trombone shorty play ac/dc back in black, it was a nice set and i am glad my husband got me over there for it. other sights and sounds, subdudes, van morrison and lucinda. lucinda cracks me up, she is SO funny. hung out for awhile at jen and maryann's who know how to do the post jf porch chill thing so well. i have to get in the tub, i have a fine layer of race track sand all over my body. i am a little red in a few places but they will be brown by tomorrow.
i will sleep well tonight
